Why I haven’t gone to church In a while. It’s been rough putting my feelings of the last year and a half Into words, but through God, I was able to. I posted this a couple days ago on my church’s group chat, and realized it was how I felt about the Christian Church/community as a whole. Why I haven’t listened to Christian artists, been feeling unease and dissapointment in American Christianity in politics, etc.To clarify, I am still a devout disciple of Christ, and seek Him first always. But the way that the Church is now has negatively affected my desire for fellowship, despite how loving everyone can be and is. My prayer is that the Church as a whole can grow in understanding and education of marginalized communities,as that will help us be better disciples (that one verse that’s like “they will know you are my disciples by how you love one another”…yeah that one lol).💖💖 Its.not there yet, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be.
